The starting point for this route is: Downtown YMCA Comments about this route: The route: -Leaving the Y, turn down 6th Street passing over Broad and Market -Stay on 6th up the hill to Georgia Avenue -A quick LEFT then RIGHT on and off Georgia Avenue puts you on Vine Street -Stay on Vine Street to Douglas where you turn LEFT and pass McClellan gym (if it is open there are water fountains and bathrooms) -Take Douglas to 4th Street, turning LEFT of 4th -Follow 4th Street to Georgia Avenue and turn RIGHT going over Veterans Bridge -Once over Veterans Bridge, turn LEFT and go downhill ending up on Frazier Avenue (Mr. Zip for water/gatorade) -Follow Frazier Avenue/Cherokee Blvd to Manufacturers Road (bear LEFT past SunTrust) -Stay on Manufacturers Road to Hamm Road where you turn LEFT -Follow Hamm Road (water faucet at David F. Moore and Associates) to Moccassin Bend Road where you turn LEFT -Take Moccassin Bend Road to Moccassin Bend Hospital and go around the Winston Building (water/bathrooms at main building in circle driveway) -Exit the hospital "campus" the same way you went in and follow Moccassin Bend Road back to Hamm Road -Turn RIGHT on Hamm Road (remember water faucet at tan brick building on right this time) -Stay on Hamm Road until turning RIGHT on Manufacturers Road -Follow Manufacturers Road to Cherokee Blvd turning RIGHT through the SunTrust parking lot -Head over Market Street Bridge and back to the YMCA -That's 12! |
