The route:
- From downtown Y turn LEFT and head to Market Street
- LEFT on Market Street and cross Market Street Bridge
- LEFT on Cherokee Blvd
- LEFT onto W. Manning Street at The Loft
- Follow W. Manning St under the freeway overpass and bear RIGHT where Manning turns in to Whitehall Rd (up hill)
- Stay on Whitehall to the top of the ridge and then turn RIGHT (still Whitehall)
- Continue on Whitehall to the real top of the RIDGE and then back downhill
- Merge RIGHT onto E. Elmwood
- Continue down E. Elmwood where you will approach a little hill before coming up near Dayton Blvd. You will see Dayton Blvd. on your LEFT.
- Go to Dayton Blvd. and cross the road immediately
- See Ashmore Avenue on your LEFT and turn on Ashmore Ave.

- Stay on Ashmore until you get to Memorial Drive where you turn RIGHT
- Follow Memorial .2 miles to Altamont
- Continue STRAIGHT onto Altamont
- Follow Altamont to Hixson Pike
- RIGHT on Hixson Pike stay on sidewalk
- Stay on Hixson Pike up hill toward Riverview
- At hilltop, cross street when sidewalk runs out
- LEFT on Shady Circle take next immediate
- RIGHT on Shady Circle, go one block and turn
- LEFT on Sunset - Water fountain at 1529 Sunset Abner Oldham's home ( water fountain next to mailbox on the right side of Sunset)
- Sunset will run into Riverview Road, continue STRAIGHT on Riverview
- Follow Riverview Road to Riverview park, past the golf course.
- Turn LEFT on Sterling just before Riverview Park
- RIGHT on Terrace
- LEFT on Young (Water and restrooms at Park)
- Follow Young to the top
- LEFT onto McFarland and take next
- RIGHT on Sterling
- RIGHT on Island to Barton
- LEFT on Barton
- Cross Veteran's Bridge, continue straight onto Georgia
- Take Georgia to M.L. King
- RIGHT on M.L. King
- Stay on M.L. King past Chestnut and Pine to the firehall at Golden Gateway
- RIGHT on Golden Gateway
- Follow Golden Gateway back to the Y!
